o Lead Programmer and Designer for forms central. Currently in charge of forms sub domain duties include: Developing enterprise level Form solution, integrating old Forms application with the new environment and training users to build and maintain business processes.

o Web Content Management Developer and System Analyst. Duties include: Migrating legacy website to AEM environment, integrating the ODU portal and website with 3rd party enterprise solutions and developing components utilized by content owners.

o Job involves programming using JAVA, JSP, PHP, JavaScript, XML, XSL, Adobe Experience Manager, Ant, JCR, Maven, Oracle, SQL and working with systems that require extensive Novell NetWare and NT knowledge. Implementing and supporting a large-scale web environment on an enterprise level. Analysis, design, system documentation.

 

Projects:

-          Form Central: Title: -Lead Programmer Technology JAVA, PHP4/5, JavaScript, XML, XSL Oracle10G

o Form Central is an ODU sub domain that hosts all the forms that are required for each department in the university. It is a central hub that the students, faculty and staff can access and search for the forms they need based on criteria including department relevance or name.

o Used Structured programing methods to develop two interfaces first there is the form creation process which uses java script and PHP to create the web or PDF forms. This Application is used by departments to create their own forms or upload forms that are not currently in the database.

o The form application also has a work-flow system that was designed and implemented from scratch by me. This feature adds extensive work-flow capability to the forms created enabling them to go through an approval and revision process.

o Forms search which is the front end and is accessed by the users to locate the forms they need.

 

-          Portal 2.0: Title: - Programmer Technologies: JAVA, JSP, JCR, Adobe CQ, Ant, Sling, Maven JavaScript, XML, XSL, Mule, GSON, ESB.

o Portal 2.0 is an undertaking to make the ODU student portal more personalized to the student.

o At first the personal student data and sources needed to be identified and delivery methods needed to be configured.

o Secondly, the logic needed to be configured so the data can be displayed correctly.

o Thirdly, the portal needed to be reconfigured to be able to display personal data on multiple pages without sacrificing performance.

o Lastly, Data populated on the main website is being pulled into the portal to display the different places and their information based on the location of the student in the portal.

 

-          Web Redesign: Title: - Programmer Technologies: JAVA, JSP, JCR, Adobe CQ, Ant, Sling, Maven JavaScript, XML, XSL.

o Web redesign is a very big project undertaken to modernize ODU’s web site. The new website will have a completely new look and it will also be built on top of Day CQ content management system.

o At first the focus was migrating the pages from the old website to the new design. In order to do that, tools had to be developed to in the CMS to allow users to migrate the content.

o Secondly, migrating applications that were written in PHP to the new system which is written in JAVA.

o Thirdly building new applications in the new system. Such as theODU directory, places, dinning menus, web services, etc…

 

-          ODU mobile: Title: - Programmer Technologies: JAVA, JSP, JCR, Adobe CQ, Ant, Sling, Maven JavaScript, XML, XSL, Mule, GSON, ESB.

o Provided the data and logic to display the places of interest, dining menus, and student schedule to be displayed on the ODU mobile app.

o For the places of interest I am providing the mobile app with the places, their different categories, opening and closing time and whether they are currently opened or closed.

o For the dinning menu I am providing the dinning data based on the location

o For the student information I am providing personal student information based on the passed identifier while check that the person asking for the data is the owner of the identifier.

 

-          Learning Commons Room Reservation Application: Title:- Lead Developer/Programmer Technologies: Apache, PHP, MySQL:

o Setup a server environment using Apache, Unix to host 3 party applications to use as needed by the university.

o Implemented and modified open source application called OpenRoom to meet the university’s requirements for room reservation.

 

-          Faculty Activity System: Title: - Lead Programmer, Technology PHP, SOAP, XML, XSL

o Create a new FAS interface with a third party service to list and search faculty expertise and activities.

 

-          ODU Directory: Title:- Lead Programmer, Technology PHP.

o Interface with the banner database for directory search.

o Interface with third party system to allow faculty, staff and students to sign up for ODU alerts system.

o Fraud Tool: added fraud check functionality to email forms on traderonline websites.

o The fraud emails are inserted into a tool that to be reviewed by the fraud team for review where they are either forwarded to the dealers or deleted.

o The fraud tool also has functionality for adding tokens, key words, that can be added as Fraud words where emails are immediately if those tokens are found.
